Onsite Life Cycle Engineering is responsible for ensuring our products are safe, reliable, supportable, testable, and maintainable throughout the intended system life cycle (conception to demilitarization). LCE consists of multiple disciplines (reliability, system safety, logistics technical support, human systems integration, packaging, handling, storage and transportation and field training) that play critical roles in support of other core type engineering (mechanical, electrical, material, etc.), business development, internal program offices and external customers to achieve system operational deployment and availability/readiness objectives. LCE seeks an experienced multi-faceted Systems Engineer based out of Tucson, AZ. In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of the system life cycle phases. You will also be responsible in assisting & executing tasks in the areas of Integrated Logistics Support, Sustainment Analysis, and strategic Sustainment Planning. This will include focal areas of technical documentation, spares analysis, provisioning support, training, reliability analysis, and system safety assessments. What You Will Do Provide general engineering support and product sustainment activities for developmental and legacy programs
Assist in the development of action plans to address key engineering focus areas
Perform supportability tasking, logistics support analysis, technical documentation updates, training curricula, spares management, reports and presentations
Ensure technical integrity, suitable quality, and adherence to international compliance standards of products produced for Logistics, Provisioning, Field Support, Intermediate Level Maintenance, and Depot Level Maintenance through engagement in peer reviews, program reviews, design reviews, failure review boards, investigation teams, and working groups
Address and shape ILS disciplines across design, start-up, production, and sustainment of programs with one central LCE communication concept of operations (i.e. integrated product team lead (IPTL) while engaging with the program office and proposal teams
Minimal to no travel required. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience
Related experience in logistics, sustainment, support plans, system fielding, proposals, integration, or life cycle management with best practices equivalent to job-centric level certification/credential standards of the accredited Defense Acquisition University (DAU)
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer System thinking to drive functional strategies and operational support plans
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with team members
Writing and peer review of technical documents
Understanding and application of the Technical Data Package (drawings, parts lists, interface control documents, and electrical schematics)
Product support management experience working with US Military programs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify underlying issues, root causes and system support impacts
Broad knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) processes, including sustainment and supportability principles and concepts Additional Information: Please consider the following role type definition as you apply for this role Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.
