In this role you will design and implement new Software Configuration Management (SWCM) solutions as well as administer legacy solutions in support of our global customer programs. You will join a diverse and regionally distributed team supporting a range of SWCM services such as Clearcase, Atlassian Jira/Bitbucket, and GITLAB as well as partnering with engineering on software modernization efforts to migrate off old technologies and into newer GIT-based DevSecOps platforms. The position is on-site and can be in any of the following cities/regions to support our programs: El Segundo CA, North Texas, Tucson AZ, Largo FL or the Boston Area. What You Will Do: Leverage company best practices to deploy, sustain, and support Software Configuration Management applications both on-premises and in cloud environments
Engage with programs to provide guidance on the implementation of Software Engineering applications
Deploy desktop (client) Software Engineering applications, including support of client-server integrations
Identify, document, and champion best practices and improvements which help increase the efficiency of our software deployment and support
Work with program Engineers to plan and implement migrations off legacy Software Engineering applications to modern tools
Support software application customization and automation including development of templates, dashboards and scripts to support program needs
Assist engineering teams with support of software build/test pipelines and integrations, optimizing for performance and scalability across both cloud and on-premise computing environments
Administer and maintain the security and compliance of tooling solutions including hardening, patching, version upgrades, database backups, and disaster recovery planning
Maximize solution performance and reliability through proactive, automated testing and issue mitigation while minimizing impacts associated with ongoing system patching and upgrades
Provision new projects, software configuration repositories and user access
Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and 5 years of relevant experience
Experience deploying and supporting Clearcase and GIT-based software applications (Bitbucket, Gitlab, etc) in an enterprise environment on both Linux and Windows operating systems
Experience supporting integrated software applications in a DevOps (continuous integration, continuous deployment) toolchain
Experience developing and implementing automation through scripting, preferably with infrastructure as code platforms (Ansible, Chef, Terraform, etc.)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer: Strong understanding and implementation experience with SCRUM / Lean / Agile / Scaled Agile methodologies
Detailed working knowledge of CI/CD processes and software development best practices
Strong computer skills and/or programming experience in one or more languages
Experience with container technology (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher, Tanzu, etc)
Experience with vulnerability remediation, application hardening, disaster recovery, and data spill remediation to meet Cybersecurity and infrastructure requirements
Existing secret or top-secret security clearance

Employees who are working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
