Prevention Manager - Amado, AZ POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Prevention, this position oversees a variety of prevention program activities and support to Amado area. Position manages the coordination and implementation of project activities, capacity and sustainability necessary for program success. Position oversees program documentation and comprehensive, accurate and timely reports. Position acts as liaison between the Director of Prevention and the rural prevention project, ensuring for program safety and compliance. Assist with grant writing and fund development. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate community level outreach and capacity development across the 12 sectors. Facilitate planning, coordination and implementation of activities to meet /exceed required deliverables. Communicate effectively (both in written and oral communications) with staff, supervisor, and community key stakeholders. Oversee and conduct all required reporting and evaluation activities assigned. Facilitates strategic planning and professional development for community served. Models program values working with program participants and uses a human centered approach. Maintain corporate confidence, keeps information confidential and in compliance with agency policies and procedures. Represent PPEP with professional appearance and demeanor. Exhibits competency in and ensures for a trauma informed approach among staff and within all community projects. Understands the disease model of addiction and demonstrates knowledge of proven community level prevention practices. Operate Windows Office 2010; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and OutLook. Functional knowledge and skills in basic social media (FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram). Excellent writing skills for documentation an assisting with grant writing. Demonstration of excellent documentation and organizational skills. Must be self-directed, responsible and possess good judgment and decision-making skills with a solution- oriented perspective. Must be willing to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends. Other responsibilities as assigned. Promotes cultural competency in all areas of services and ability to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment and be sensitive to the service population's culture and socioeconomic characteristics. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in human services related field and 4 years work experience in Human Services, Community Organization, Program facilitation, Coalition related work, Community/Health service. Twenty-one (21) years or older. Valid Arizona driver's license Ability to meet PPEP driver requirements (minimum level of insurance and driving record that meets PPEP requirements). Ability to obtain and maintain a level I AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance card. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work as a team, communicate effectively with staff, supervisors and community key stakeholders. Present a professional appearance and demeanor. Possess good judgment and decision-making skills with a solution-oriented perspective. Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred Supervisory experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to see/read a computer monitor screen and have keyboarding abilities. Must be able to lift up to 40lbs and engage in physical activity required for job to include set up and take down of meeting spaces, conducting outreach event logistics including stretching, reaching, bending, walking, lifting and carrying. AMOUNT OF TRAVEL AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS OR REQUIREMENTS: Must have reliable transportation, driver's license and required minimum insurance. Must be able and willing to drive to and from community sites. Must be able to travel out of state for required trainings (no more than 4 separate weeks of any year).
