Field Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our team. The Field Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support on construction projects, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, superintendents, and other construction personnel.

Field Engineer Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and review of project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to ensure the timely and efficient execution of projects.
  • Monitor project progress and identify any potential issues or delays.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to construction teams on-site.
  • Ensure that construction activities comply with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical problems and make recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality of work and materials.
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Document and report any deviations from the project plan and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation to project managers and clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of project status reports and presentations.

Field Engineer Position Requirements

  • Highly motivated with an overwhelming desire to learn and advance your career as an employee-owner.
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or 4 years equivalent construction experience.
  • Should possess functional knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Office products.

Field Engineer Preferred Requirements

  • Heavy Civil and/or Industrial Construction
  • Read and understand project documents, including plans, specifications, special provisions, etc.
  • Experience with Heavy Job system
