Asphalt Plant Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Asphalt Plant Manager to oversee the operations of our asphalt production facilities. The Asphalt Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality asphalt materials, managing plant staff, and maintaining equipment and facilities.

Asphalt Plant Manager Responsibilities

• Monitor plant performance and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate plant personnel to maintain a skilled and efficient workforce.
• Schedule and assign tasks to plant staff, ensuring optimal staffing levels and productivity.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure the reliable operation of all plant equipment.
• Maintain an inventory of necessary parts and supplies.
• Ensure that all asphalt products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests of materials and finished products.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Manage the procurement of raw materials and supplies necessary for asphalt production.
• Implement cost-control measures to optimize inventory management.
• Assist in the preparation and management of the plant's budget.
• Monitor and control operational costs to meet financial targets.
• Provide regular reports on plant performance and financial status to senior management.

Asphalt Plant Manager Position Requirements

• 2 + years of Asphalt Plant Operations in an asphalt plant management capacity, ideal but not required.
• Strong working knowledge of asphalt plant operations, equipment, and controls
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
