Are you a detail-oriented Estimator that delivers accurate cost projections for commercial and multifamily projects? We are working with a leading general contractor who specializes in high-quality construction projects, and we are seeking a Estimator to join their team.

Description

  • Project Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial and multifamily construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Bid Preparation: Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure all components of the bid are covered.
  • Cost Analysis: Perform value engineering assessments and make recommendations to optimize project costs without sacrificing quality.
  • Takeoffs: Conduct comprehensive material and quantity takeoffs using project plans, specifications, and addenda.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure all estimates align with project goals and timelines.
  • Market Research: Stay informed on the latest industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks related to budget, scope, and timeline, and propose cost-effective solutions.

Profile

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial and/or multifamily construction projects.
  • Proficient in industry-standard estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market conditions.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in estimating (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator, AACE, etc.).
  • Experience with large-scale commercial or multifamily projects.
