Job description
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the shipping domain, international trade, booking, billing, and tariff maintenance.
This role involves leading complex projects, analyzing business processes, and providing strategic insights to drive efficiency and growth.
Type: 3-6 month - Contract to Hire
Hourly Rate: 52/hrly - 58/hrly
Location: Phoenix, CA
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Business Analysis Efforts: Oversee and guide the business analysis activities for projects related to shipping, international trade, booking, billing, and tariff maintenance.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and support decision-making processes.
Documentation: Create detailed business requirement documents, process flows, and functional specifications.
Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all business processes comply with relevant international trade regulations and shipping industry standards.
Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and team members.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business analysis within the shipping domain, with a focus on international trade, booking, billing, and tariff maintenance.
Skills and Experience:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and shipping industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP or equivalent).
Experience with ERP systems and shipping software.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.

Pay Details: $52.00 to $61.00 per hour
