These programs primarily support the organization's mission, vision, values and strategic goals to ensure quality, safety, and service in patient and family-centered care. Responsibilities: + Performs initial and ongoing educational needs assessment. + Collaborates with department leaders in the identification and development of initial and on-going competencies. + Creates and documents education plans in partnership with leadership team to meet strategic and operational initiatives of the organization. + Utilizes adult education theories and principles to foster the educational development of participants. + Authors curriculum and implements educational in-services, classes, courses and programs based upon identified education needs and utilizing traditional, non-traditional and innovative methods of instruction including the use of technology and simulation. + Develops and facilitates continuing education (CE) programs as a member of the Dignity Health Arizona Region Provider Unit in collaboration with the Primary Nurse Planner and Lead planners. + Collaborates with leadership to ensure the assimilation and on-boarding of new employees utilizing organization's identified tools (i.e. skills lists, orientation documents, etc.) as a measure of employees ability to meet performance expectations. + Serves as a resource for clinical student experiences. + Utilizes effective interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills while emphasizing professionalism, ethical decision making, accountability, clinical reasoning and effective communication. Qualifications Minimum: Experience: 4 years clinical practice in area of specialty required. Specialty certification and/or 2 years teaching preferred. License: AZ RN license or compact state.
