Job description
We are seeking a Sr. Azure Cloud Security Engineer resource to support an ongoing project for 24-months, with opportunity for extension or fulltime conversion down the road. This person must be W2 eligible, and can sit in the following locations on a 3 days onsite, 2 days remote hybrid schedule:
1) Phoenix/Chandler, AZ -heavy concentration of team is there
2) Charlotte, NC
3) Minneapolis, MN
4) San Francisco, CA
Description:
Our major financial services client is in the process of a massive data center transformation (decommissioning 9 DC's and building 4 brand new ones). There are many facets to this work, but these roles will support the Directory Services organization in CyberSecurity.
This role will help drive the effort to secure public and private Azure cloud infrastructure - specifically from the angle of the Credential Management & Directory Services group. Azure Security Engineers are responsible for researching, designing and engineering authentication solutions, including controls and policies relating to the authentication and authorization for the end client.
The end client needs resources who can guide them on best practices and ensure they are developing and documenting processes that set them up for a highly secure environment in the new Data Centers. These roles require deep design and engineering skills, in addition to a keen ability to communicate ideas in written and verbal form across a variety of audiences.
More specifically - we are not seeking candidates that are doing operational support work on cloud environments.

1) Excellent written and oral communication skills - this is a blend of architecture and engineering
work and they will be advising on future state of Cloud Security at this client
2) Deep knowledge of Azure Cloud Security- specifically how to secure environments with Azure AD
Connect, Azure PIM, MS Defender, onboarding cloud Databases and using Azure
Logic Apps for automation
3) Strong automation skills using tools like Terraform/GoLang, Powershell and MS Graph API to
automate a variety of processes (i.e. automate an identity in a DB or integrate
with legacy systems with data API sets, etc)
