Location: 2001 Brainard Rd, Ft Huachuca, Arizona 85613 Clearance Level: Active DoD - TS/SCI Required Certification(s): • This position requires an active Secret security clearance on hire date with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance. Current TS/SCI is desired. • Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization. SUMMARY Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Test Evaluation and Certification II Services (TEC II) contract provides technical solutions for the DOD in support of Test and Evaluation (T&E) services and T&E enabling services. JITC's service requirements are categorized in the following areas: T&E Performance Requirements, T&E Capability Management Requirements, T&E Capability Requirements, and Overarching Contract and Task Order (TO) Requirements. TEC Services are provided to DoD Combatant Commanders/Services/Agencies, federal and state agencies, coalition partners, and commercial entities to aid in the design, development, acquisition, integration, deployment, operational use, and sustainment of new and enhanced Information Technology/National Security System capabilities. Agile-Defense is looking for a Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer to support the testing of vendor provided developmental and production hardware and software. This role requires a deep understanding of RF principles, test methodologies, and the ability to work with advanced test equipment and emerging technologies. The engineer will perform engineering-based functions ensuring the combined RF test lab successfully executes standards conformance and interoperability certification testing. The RF Lab testing functional areas include High Frequency, Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Satellite Communications, and Very High Frequency/UHF Line of Sight. The selected candidate will provide subject matter expertise on technical RF testing issues and recommendations on relevant testing or necessary modifications to maintain the lab's independent waveform testing systems. This position is 100% on-site in a government facility. The selected candidate will assist the task lead in the following areas: JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Evaluate and modify existing test plans and procedures to determine if existing procedures are sufficient for a waveform test technician to execute. Investigate new ways of testing requirements to increase efficiency or accuracy. • Develop new test plans and procedures. • Attend working group meetings for new and existing standards. • Execute test equipment setup. Perform functionality checks on equipment. Setup and configure equipment for new and existing capabilities using waveform specific test kits made up of all test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment necessary to test a terminal's military standard compliance. • Provide engineering assistance to the test team technicians before, during and after test execution. • Recommend equipment, facility or capability for upgrade, replacement, or discontinuation associated with the annual lab modernization effort. • Develop test scripts, programs and procedures to automate testing and increasing lab efficiency. • Provide recommendations on candidate subtests for reevaluation following a comprehensive review of vendor provided documentation noting RF terminal software and hardware changes that has been previously assessed/certified. QUALIFICATIONS Required Certifications • This position requires an active Secret security clearance on hire date with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance. Current TS/SCI is desired. • Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization. Education, Background, and Years of Experience • Requires a Doctorate and at least 4 years of experience; a Master's degree and at least 10 years of experience; or a Bachelor's and 16 years of experience. The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties. Relevant technical degrees include the following, though the Government may consider other curriculums, various engineering and science disciplines, Physics, Operations Research, Computer Science, and Mathematics. • Related certifications in the area of specialization may be substituted for 1 year of experience. ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills • Experience with component-level RF circuit characterization and optimization. • Experience with RF test equipment including spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and network analyzer. • Experience with automated test scripts and software tools. • Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of complex tasks. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work without supervision. • Excellent written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental Conditions • Contractor site. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Strength Demands • Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
