Job description

Duties Responsible for the comprehensive management and direction of all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, development, and execution of assigned DOD command, control, communications, computer, and Intelligence systems (C4I). Plan mid- and long-range logistics and develop policy changes required to meet the unique, complex, and demanding supply, maintenance, and transportation support requirements for these specialized systems. Act as the command's primary logistics advisor for C4I projects and provide the sole Combat Developer/User interface to Army Material Command (AMC), program/project managers responsible for acquisition of these specialized projects. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Three year trial/probationary period may be required. Temporary Duty (TDY) travel of 20% may be required on very short notice. Travel will be accomplished by commercial and/or military aircraft as well as other authorized modes of transportation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance. The IT classification for this position is IT III. This position is designated as Non-Critical sensitive Tier 3. Mission Essential Required to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations as directed. May be required to remain on duty after the official shift ends for mandatory overtime, subject to recall to duty. Must maintain a functioning telephone to aid in contact during recall/emergency situations. Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually. This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by (1) Planning and executing mid- and long-range logistics projects to meet supply, maintenance, and transportation support requirements; (2) Participating in the contract review process to ensure accurate, up-to-date data in all required documents comprising a contract packet; (3) Serving as a member for source selection evaluation and proposal evaluation boards to evaluate contractor proposals and/or Government strategies for mission compliance. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f. Appointment does not confer competitive status. This position is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
