CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD Computer Operator - Intermediate Fort Huachuca, AZ Summary: Applied Training Solutions (ATS) is in search of an experienced Computer Operator with a robust background in systems, database administration, management, and maintenance. This role requires a BA/BS degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience or an Associate degree with over 7 years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of Integrated Center of Excellence (ICoE) training systems. This includes, but is not limited to, Program of Record (POR) battle simulations systems, Virtual and Constructive battle simulation networks and systems, and other critical hardware and software necessary for mission success. The systems in focus include the Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM), WARSIM Intelligence Model (WIM), Intelligence and Electronic Warfare Tactical Proficiency Trainer (IEWTPT), Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), and other federated systems under the Army's Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and Program Executive Officer Command, Control, Communications-Tactical (PEO-C3T). The role extends to providing IT and computing services for Pre-Exercise Preparation, ensuring hardware and software are optimally configured and maintained. Responsibilities include performing end-to-end communications exercises (COMEX) before exercise execution, clearing all exercise systems of previous data upon completion, and restoring systems to their pre-exercise baseline. Participation in all exercise coordination meetings and After-Action Reviews is essential, demanding a proactive and collaborative approach to ensure readiness and efficacy of training systems for upcoming exercises. During Exercise Execution, the Computer Operator will offer indispensable support for the operational mission and interests as required by the Government. This includes providing subject matter expertise for exercise control, data, and event integration across all Intelligence Warfighting Function disciplines. Supporting students and Exercise Trainers by responding to Intelligence Requests for Information (RFIs), collaborating to develop events that support learning objectives through dynamic "on-the-fly" message traffic, and providing simulation and synchronization support to Capstone exercises are key aspects of the role. Additionally, responsibilities encompass releasing message traffic to end-users, daily system operation checks, and aiding support sites with technical troubleshooting. The candidate will also assist users with system functionality issues during training events and other mission-critical operations, highlighting the importance of a solution-oriented mindset and technical proficiency in ensuring the smooth execution of training objectives. Job Duties: Under general supervision, monitors and controls a computer by operating the central console or on-line terminals. May operate auxiliary equipment directly associated with the computer. May maintain records regarding output units and supply inventories. May assist in manipulating controls to rearrange sequence of job steps to continue operations when individual units of the system malfunction. Competent to work on most phases of computer operations, but still may require some instruction and guidance for other phases.
