Excel Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Lengths: 13-15 weeks options 36 hours - OT is billed after 48hrs ITC & perm staff must have been termed for at least 6 months Nursys: No hits are allowed, if there is a hit of ANY kind it is an automatic redirect Locals are welcome to submit Specialty: MS/Tele, 36 or 48 hours accepted for this position Med Surg & MS/Tele Ratios: 1:5/6 with occasional 1:7. This is a fast pace/high case load facility Experience Required: 2 years First time travelers are accepted Every other weekend required Floating Required: Must be willing to float within specialty and between campuses (4.5 miles away) Certifications required: BCLSSkills Required: Cardiac Monitoring, Colostomy Care, Feeding Tube Care and Management, Renal Failure, IV Therapy/Phlebotomy, Heparin/Insulin/PCA Experience, CVA, Respiratory/Thoracic Experience and Wound CareSkills Preferred: Management of Dysrhythmias, Post Angiogram and Post MIMust pass cardiac exam during orientation EMR experience required though Meditech Expanse training is covered during orientation Unit Info7N cares for a diverse Med/Surg population. The unit is primarily cared for by Hospitalists who have physician or NP coverage 24/7.Patient Age Groups: Adults and GeriaticsRooms: 42Hospital HighlightsType of Facility: Short-Term Acute CareLevel III Trauma Center Charting: Meditech Expanse Total Staffed Beds: 606 Scrub Color: Navy Holiday Policy 2024 -Allowed (1) holiday RTO request in contract from the following holiday list: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year s Eve, New Year s Day + Travelers can have up to 3 consecutive days off surrounding the holiday but may not include more than one holiday (example: 12/22-12/24 or 1/1-1/3).
