Network Engineer Full Time Montgomery, AL Secret clearance This position is contingent upon contract award Overview: Semper Valens is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Network Engineer to support the AFINC II contract with the 26th Network Operations Squadron (26NOS) in Montgomery, AL. This position plays a critical role in the intranet support of the entire Air Force network, including the operation and defense of the Air Force (AF) Enterprise computer network. Responsibilities: Develop LAN/WAN network designs to support data center migration. Manage and configure LAN/WAN setups, including TCP/IP protocols, routing/switching configurations, and firewall technologies. Troubleshoot complex network issues, such as performance analysis, protocol problems, hardware failures, and WAN/LAN connectivity issues. Configure and deploy VoIP components (experience preferred). Troubleshoot technology issues using various internal and external resources. Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned tasks and projects. Participate in the testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality. Qualifications/Requirements: 5-7 years of progressively responsible network engineering experience with Cisco platforms. Ability to work rotating shifts (Day, Mid, or Night). 10% travel required. Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, MIS, or a related field preferred. Must have and maintain Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and CompTIA Security+ CE certifications. Clearance: Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
