Selected applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret Required Certification(s): • DoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) within 6 months SUMMARY The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) provides Information Technology (IT) support to PEO MS which is a Continental United States (CONUS) organization. The OCIO provides centralized life cycle management, direction, guidance, and support for the acquisition, sustainment, maintainability, supportability, and implementation of the PEO, Information Mission Area (IMA). PEO MS is an approved Data Center providing hosting to multiple organizations, Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) throughout the US Army Acquisition community. Candidate should have a good grasp of C#, the .NET Framework, and a bit of SQL. Prefer someone who is adaptable and able to tackle a wide variety of problems, who can look to existing solutions and build new projects but will need to be able to analyze often ambiguous requirements and turn them into something workable. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Design, develop, implement, and maintain software applications and SP environments. • Software applications include government off-the-shelf (GOTS), modified off-the-shelf (MOTS), and commercial off- the-shelf (COTS) that are used on both unclassified as well as classified PEO MS systems • Development may include research, new development, modification, reuse, reengineering, maintenance, or any other activities that result in software products to meet the needs of specific client/business requirements of the PEO and its PMs • Provide administration and management for Enterprise and Standard Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) production databases and other various databases that may be implemented in the future, for classified and unclassified environments • Develop and maintain source code in compliance with secure coding standards, application STIGS, and all applicable government regulations, guidance, and directions • Provide application development support within the Development Team. • Troubleshoot application deployment. • Attending and contributing to development team meetings. • Continuous improvement of processes and software architecture • Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills. • Writing and maintaining code. • Working on bug fixes. • Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems. • Responding to requests from the development team. • Gathering information from consumers about program functionality. • Writing reports. • Conducting development tests. QUALIFICATIONS Required Certifications • DoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) within 6 months Education, Background, and Years of Experience • Bachelor's in computer science or related field desired • 3+ years experience in web development or related field preferred ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills • C# • .NET • SQL/T-SQL • GIT • Kendo UI • JavaScript & JQuery • Familiarity with Entity Framework • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills • Experience with Windows servers and management tools • Familiarity with server and database management • Some knowledge of CAC (Common Access Cards)/Smart Card Authentication • Process Analysis • Strong communication • Team player • Effective working both independently and as part of a group • Programming experience • Knowledge of databases and operating systems • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment • Detail-oriented • Secure programming WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental Conditions • 100% ONSITE. Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generaly favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Strength Demands • Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
