Job description

Job Description: Provide Subject Matter Expert support for the Flight Programs & Partnership Office (FPPO) under the NASA CPSS contract at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). Provide program management documentation and other materials generated during support of technical implementation and management, risk analysis assessments, technical problem identification and resolution review, and technology identification, development, and assessment.
Support program and technology assessment and planning, advanced concepts definition, design analysis, systems analysis, and analysis and innovative strategies to successful implementation of HQ Moon to Mars (M2M) Program SE&I mission integration and flight test strategies.
Review and make recommendations of integrated systems analysis including the establishment of flight and mission objectives, mission n planning, development of concept and configuration alternatives, systems modeling and simulations, and optimization and trade studies involving technical, cost, schedule, and their associated safety, affordability, and reliability risks.
Perform strategic planning in the areas of mission integration and flight test strategies with expertise in the areas of program management, and systems management as needed to support MSFC's role to the M2M programs and projects.
Provide support to the management and integration of requirements, verification and support for Government oversight for developing/upgrading systems management tools to support the management and systems engineering functions; definition and facilitation of systems management processes; systems management guidance to program/projects; and membership on technical evaluation teams to assess the program's/project's progress toward meeting established technical commitments.
Provide support for independent reviews of the SLS, MPCV, GSDO, Gateway, HLS, and EHP programs planning, processes, methods, organizations, interfaces, and integration, and associated improvement/maturation recommendations supporting ESDCSL.
Participate in various Technical Working Group (TWG) meetings; Program to Program(P2P) meetings; System Integration Groups (SIGs), and monthly reviews and /or teleconferences to collect the required information for supporting these task processes. Prepare and provide a report describing tasks performed in support of M2M SE&I, which will be utilized by the Plans and Processes team in preparing an overall presentation to management at NASA Headquarters Experience Requirements: 25+ years of applicable experience Extensive knowledge and experience in engineering and management of complex technical flight programs from formulation through execution relating to developing strategies, analyzing options and processes, and following their implementation into flight systems. Extensive experience in management and knowledge of space system programs in test and integration activities for both ground and flight testing of launch vehicles, as well as flight and ground test verification. Extensive experience involving senior/executive management and knowledge of real time mission operations and integration support for NASA missions, both to launch vehicles and in space missions and system engineering, design and analysis integration, and system certification. Experience in preparing and briefing information, to senior management and executives.
