What you will be doing: For supported program, provide recommendations for acquisition agency modeling and simulation, including high-level architecture, planning, development, verification and validation, and simulations support for acquisition agency prototypes and subsystems Provide support and recommendations for Prototype Management and Product Assurance (PA), including review and development of PA management documents, inspection techniques, and other analytical and empirical tools during the development and prototype of systems/subsystems Review prime contractors' and vendor/suppliers' facilities and provide information and recommendations on prototype planning, manufacturing technology, prototype operations and other operational areas related to prototype Provide on-site representation for prototype meetings to include issue resolution, failure review boards, special investigations or audits, documentation development and review, and prototype progress Provide systems engineering support that includes model-based systems engineering, requirements development, systems architecture, specification development and support, risk analysis/management, and safety analysis/assessment Support system engineering activities such as architecture studies, development and sustainment, radar/sensor development/modification, new start trade-off analysis, specification requirement allocation, system/system of system requirement document development, specification flow-down analysis, and compliance with acquisition system streamlining guidance Identify critical areas of high risk, threat analysis, joint/combined interfaces, prototype and delivering support, program and project analyses, evaluation, and support, surveys, and major areas of critical focus requiring acquisition agency problem resolution to prevent problems from occurring and to minimize crisis management Provide recommendations and risk analysis to support the development of program risk assessments consistent with prime contractor capabilities, emerging technologies, and contractor cost performance, schedules, and integration requirements Support and provide recommendations for the centralized planning, direction, and control of Configuration Management (CM), status accounting, and data management programs Review CM packages for adequacy; develop and coordinate configuration corrections; contribute to configuration audits; assist in the review of Technical Data Packages (TDPs); capture and report findings at Configuration Control Boards; and recommend procedures to correct deficiencies discovered during the screening process Provide engineering and integration support for development and management of system interfaces, interface control working groups, development of hardware integration labs, system integration labs, and systems integration planning Provide program-level system integration support such as program management, systems engineering, performance engineering, prototype management, configuration management, scheduling, technical liaison, and testing Assist in the planning, design, implementation, instrumentation, execution, monitoring, post-test analysis and reporting of test activities involving acquisition agency prototype projects; test activities include live fire tests, range ground tests, product qualification tests, range demonstrations, and special investigations and inspections Support at a variety of test ranges to include: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Reagan Test Site, Pacific Missile Range Facility, Pacific Spaceport Complex - Alaska, Redstone Test Center, White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), and Yuma Proving Ground Provide test documentation support in the areas of range documentation, test and evaluation master plans, program requirements documents, and demonstration test plans Experience: Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance Education: High School diploma Years of Experience: 18 years of DoD-related experience in engineering, systems engineering, and/or systems integration Preferred Experience: Education and Experience: Master's degree in a STEM field and 10 years experience in engineering, systems engineering, and/or systems integration focused on DoD acquisition activities DAWIA Practitioner Certification in the Engineering & Technical Management or Test & Evaluation fields Demonstrated experience applying: DoDD 5000.01 The Defense Acquisition System; DoDI 5000.02, Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework; DoDI 5000.81, Urgent Capability Acquisition; DoDI 5000.08, Middle Tier of Acquisition; and DoDD 7045.14, PBBE Process Experience working within the full DoD acquisition lifecycle, with a focus on Urgent Capability Acquisition and Middle Tier of Acquisition Experience with Critical Design Reviews and Engineering Change Reviews and documentation Experience developing program and integrated master schedules Benefits: Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves.
