A large government client of Marathon TS is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join their team for an exciting opportunity. Technical Skill Required: - Must possess an understanding of systems engineering process and principles - Should have a proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions - Experience in decomposing requirements from parent level requirements to lower system/subsystem level requirements - Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., Interface Control Documents, Use Cases Briefings, Sequence Diagrams, etc.) - Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions - Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings - Must be able to write and implement engineering plans within a project Desired skills include: - Experience working within an Agile development environment - Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense Number Of Year Required: The Systems Engineer is expected to have: - Relevant experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems development life cycle - Demonstrated contributions to implementation that includes the ability to analyze high level needs and defined a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that led to a fielded product - Demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively, clearly present technical approaches and findings, and have experience in writing and implementing engineering plans within a project Position Responsibilities: The successful System Engineer in this role will have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice. Key Responsibilities include: - Focus on supporting the development and review of interface documents, system/subsystem requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews - Provide use case briefing development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills in the department - Perform the work under the direction of the Systems Engineering Lead, various product owners and require interfacing with team members, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available Additionally, responsibilities include: - Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis - Be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development including iteration planning, statusing, and agile team leadership Marathon TS is committed to the development of a creative, diverse and inclusive work environment.
