Description SAIC is seeking a 24/7 Support Desk Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This is to fill a position for a 24/7 support desk that provides Level 1-3 remote support and system expertise to include: Configuration support of end user. Remote software troubleshooting with end user. Remote network troubleshooting with end user. Software testing for development team. Support tools and process refinement. Documentation of issues, resolutions, and knowledge base articles. This position could require: Up to 10% travel Rotating shift schedules with 8-12 hour shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts. Qualifications Education Requirements: Must possess a Bachelors and two (2) or more years experience; Additional four (4) years experience can be considered in lieu of degree. Clearance Requirements: Must possess an active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship is required. Required Experience/Skills: Ability to acquire IAT Level II Certification. Experience as system administrator. Experience in a service desk environment to include using ticketing system to track issues and issue resolution. Strong attention to detail. Strong experience with troubleshooting independently. RedHat or other Linux distro experience. Experience with TCP/IP networks. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Strong documentation skills. Strong communication skills. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
