Responsibilities The Software engineer designs, develops, tests, verifies, sustains, and fully documents software applications and new SW development modules. Bachelor or Higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar relevant field. The position will include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on recommended courses of action, trade studies, architecture and design, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the AIMSS mission. What you will do: Responsible for the design, development, testing, verifying, sustaining and fully documenting developed software. Develops complex software applications involving graphical front-end interfaces, visualization toolsets, SQL Database interfaces, multi-user GUI interfaces, and rule base assessments. Works with application Product Owner to decompose Use Case entities into implemental software requirements. Performs software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software reviews, software risk analysis, and software reliability analysis. Performs analysis on new software developments and revisions to existing systems to enhance system efficiencies. Responsible for software testing and user/system requirements verification/validation processes and procedures. Troubleshoots production problems related to deployment of software applications. Evaluates implemented requirements in software to determine if these requirements were met in deliverable software. Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application integration and testing tools. Participates in development of software user manuals and technical reports. Works with project leads, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements. Understands MDA test processes related to data management, scheduling, planning and commitments across all types of tests. Qualifications HS 16+ years of experience, Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, computer science, or system engineering and 12+ years of experience, 10+ years with MS/MA; 7+ years with PhD Basic Qualifications: The candidate must have a strong understanding of data Center, and applications used to store, retrieve and secure MDA sensitive data. Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset Be a US citizen
Be able to work from the customer facility on a regular basis unless customer approved to work outside the local area
Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed aboveOther Qualifications: An additional plus is experience with enterprise IT solutions, cloud migration, DevSecOps, agile software development and application design, integration, testing and deployment. Security Requirements: Candidate must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance or higher to begin work on the task order. Target Salary Range $112,000 - $179,000.
