Job description

TSC is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer with experience in software development at the embedded system level as well as the desktop computer level to develop test equipment control softwar e for hardware-in-the-loop testing . This position supports the Radar & Precision Weapons Development Operation based in Huntsville, AL. TSC Alabama Operation Highlights : TSC's Radar and Precision Weapons Development Division provides products and services in the areas of radar, communication systems, sensors, antennas and other electronics systems to the missile, radar/sensor system, communications, control systems, data acquisition, and signal processing markets. The company has developed products ranging from chip-level, application-specific, integrated circuits (ASIC) to complete, turnkey radar and communication systems. TSC has established a state-of-the-art hardware capability that is well respected by customers in Government and Industry. TSC also provides full spectrum systems engineering support including theoretical analysis, requirements generation, interface control, and test planning/execution/data analysis. Responsibilities : Work with hardware and FPGA engineers to understand custom test equipment capabilities and interfaces . D esign , develop, test, and d ocument real-time embedded software to control test equipment for hardware-in-the-loop testing. D esign , develop, test, and d ocument non- real-time desktop software to interface with the embedded software. Support extended on-site testing at a customer facility . Upgrade developed software as needed for testing. Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering with 2-4 years of professional software development experience. US Citizenship with an active Secret clearance. Proficiency in C / C++ and Python / Matlab. Preferred Qualifications : Familiarity with RADAR concepts and signal processing . Experience with Xilinx SoC devices and FPGA software development . Experience with revision control s ystems such as Git . Experience with Real Time Operating Systems and bare-metal software development . Familiarity with lab equipment including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers .
