Responsibilities Millennium Corporation is hiring a Public Relations Specialist, Journeyman to work in Huntsville, AL. The candidate must have an active secret clearance. The Public Relations Specialist to support the U.S. Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) in executing rapid prototyping efforts and delivering advanced combat capabilities. Manage the public image and media relations for the organization, ensuring the mission and achievements are effectively communicated to various audiences. This is a full-time position with work available in December 2024 upon award. Duties of this role include Developing and implement strategies to promote the RCCTO's mission, enhancing the public image of the organization.
Composition and selection of materials for release to various media outlets, ensuring consistent and positive coverage.
Collaborating with internal teams to create and disseminate key messages through appropriate channels.
Preparingpress releases, articles, and other communication materials that accurately reflect the RCCTO's objectives and activities. Qualifications Candidate must have an active secret clearance. Bachelors Degree or above with 4-8 years of related experience. Experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, preferably within a government or defense environment. Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Experience managing media relationships and developing content for diverse communication platforms. Familiarity with military or defense public relations and an understanding of the unique challenges in this sector. Ability to develop and execute long-term communication strategies. Experience handling communications during high-pressure situations or crises. Business Development Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews. Physical Requirements Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
