Modern Technology Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lifecycle Logistician to join our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Program Office Logistics & Sustainment team. This role is responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the end-to-end lifecycle logistics of a MDA Ballistics Missile Defense System (BMDS), from initial design and development through distribution, maintenance, and eventual disposal. The Lifecycle Logistician will ensure efficient supply chain processes and contribute to the strategic optimization of the lifecycle for our system, aligning with Program Office objectives and MDA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lifecycle Planning: Develop and implement lifecycle logistics plans to support product design, development, sustainment, and disposal, focusing on optimizing system sustainment.
- Logistics Management: Oversee the supply chain logistics for new and existing products, ensuring timely procurement, distribution, and inventory management.
- Product Sustainment: Coordinate maintenance schedules, repairs, and modifications to maintain product effectiveness and extend lifecycle.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with MDA standards, and prepare necessary documentation for lifecycle management activities.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with prime contractors, partner organizations, and internal departments to streamline logistics processes and resolve issues.
- Cost Analysis & Budgeting: Conduct cost analysis for lifecycle logistics activities and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and efficiency.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in the logistics lifecycle and implement proactive solutions to mitigate impact on product lifecycle and availability.
- Travel : Requires up to 25% travel CONUS & OCONUS (OCONUS periods may be 30+ days in duration) Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for most MTSI positions.
- Education : BS/BA in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Substitution of relevant work experience will be considered
- Security Clearance : Requires active DoD Top Secret Clearance with an in-scope SSBI (SCI Eligible)
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in product support, logistics, or maintenance management, with a strong background in military or defense-related systems.
- Certification : Relevant certifications (e.g., DAWIA Lifecycle Logistics, Certified Professional Logistician, Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Project Management Professional (PMP) are a desirable.
- Technical Skills : Microsoft Office Suite, Maintenance Information Management Systems, Property Management Systems
- Knowledge : Strong understanding of DoD lifecycle logistics principles, supply chain optimization, and sustainment practices.
