Description SAIC is hiring a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The applicant will be part of a successful team that develops and supports aviation trainers and simulators including the world's most advanced high-fidelity UH-60 Black Hawk and next-generation AH-64 Apache trainer/simulator. The candidate should be self-motivated. A willingness to work and learn in a fast-paced environment as part of a dynamic and growing team is the key to success. As a Mechanical Engineer, your duties and job expectations may include: Providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors Developing static and dynamic designs and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages Designing, documenting, and modelling mechanical designs and solutions Conducting feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs Conducting business and technical briefings for senior management and customer representatives Directing support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication Providing design information to drafting for packaging documentation Conducting business and technical briefings for senior management and for external representatives Collaborating in a cross-functional team to resolve technical issues Qualifications Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and zero (0) years or more of relevant work experience Required Experience and Skills: Proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM Ability to work well within a team and individually Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Security Clearance preferred, but candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearancel; US Citizenship required.
