We're looking for a talented Junior Cybersecurity Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program Office. In this role, you will manage system-level processes in the eMASS tool to obtain and maintain an Authorization-To-Operate (ATO). You'll ensure that all system priorities and artifacts are well-documented within eMASS, and you'll provide expertise for Cybersecurity Monitoring Services (ACAS) in support of the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Key Responsibilities: Policy & Procedure Analysis: Analyze policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations, providing recommendations to close security gaps. Risk Management Support: Develop, implement, and monitor RM processes and procedures; analyze performance and assess issues. Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to execute system requirements and ensure alignment. Technical Briefings: Identify and brief technical concerns through executive-level briefings to senior leadership. Cybersecurity Compliance: Assist with risk handling plans and recommend technical engineering solutions to cybersecurity compliance issues. Customer Representation: Support the Government Integrated Product Team, representing the interests of the customer in working group forums, TIMs, and other required forums. Cyber Technology Research: Research, analyze, and document the impact of cyber technology/upgrades on Cyber/Computer Network Defense in support of weapon or missile systems. Authorization Support: Assist in developing artifacts to support authorization activities and guide packages through the eMASS Package Approval Chain (PAC). Documentation Management: Ensure all artifacts and Objective Evidence in eMASS meet PAC requirements for systems ready for authorization or approval. Risk Mitigation: Identify, define, and characterize development-related cyber and technical risks, and recommend mitigation strategies. Architecture Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate engineering architectural diagrams and develop/maintain GM Architecture Documents for future capabilities. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline. 3+ years of relevant experience with DoD systems. Active Secret Clearance. Understanding of continuous monitoring to support information systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to deliver products on schedule and interpret raw data for metric development. Team-oriented with problem-solving skills and a self-starter with enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel as required. Desired Qualifications: BS in Cyber Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Experience with GMD or MDA programs at the Prime development or service support level. Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation throughout the acquisition lifecycle. Familiarity with engineering programs and understanding of engineering lifecycle management.
