IT Asset Management Specialist, Jr Full Time Huntsville, AL Secret Clearance Referral bonus: $500 Job Description Summary: The IBD-SS program is looking for a motivated self-starter who wants to join a team dedicated to excellence and continuous progress. The successful candidate will support our customer's Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) Framework, which is linked with methods and recourses for planning acquisitions, funding, procuring, monitoring usages, while securing, disposing, and tracking IT assets. ITAM is used for Integrated Base Defense (IBD) Kitting, Entry Control Point (ECP), Non-Intrusive Inspection System (NIIS), Base Expeditionary Targeting Surveillance System - Combined (BETSS-C), Rapid Deployment Integrated Surveillance System (RDISS), and other systems as requested by the customer. The Information Technology (IT) Asset Management Specialist will work with the IT Asset Manager and the IBD-SS systems engineering team to ensure the base defense information system assets are accounted for, deployed, maintained, upgraded, and disposed of, to include network and cybersecurity management. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will: Possess an in-depth understanding of the Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) Framework and Lifecycle, with demonstrated understanding of each lifecycle stage and experience with delivering support through actions required in multiple stages of the lifecycle. Experience with utilization of multiple portal tools and data repositories, including customer tailored tools. Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems to ensure compliance with stated configurations and approved cybersecurity requirements under the direction of the IT Asset Manager Inventory, track, and report on the existing IT assets for the program Collect, review, and analyze data to determine the performance and health of the systems Review and recommend updates to software specifications as required Troubleshoot and provide technical support to users under the direction of the IT asset manager Review or update documentation for systems as needed Position may require lifting of objects (i.e., IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e., plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity Other duties as assigned by systems engineering management Desirable Skills / Experience: Superior comprehension of IT asset management and associated workflows Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in cybersecurity and the impacts to hardware and software in the DoD space Ability to document systems and communicate discrepancies or any required changes using the Microsoft Office suite and other software tools as required Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) Framework Ability to work well with others and communicate with supervisors An understanding of network engineering, configurations, and administration. Experience/Education Required: AA/AS + 3-5 years relevant experience (6 experience in lieu of a degree) DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent, highly desired. Security Clearance: US Secret security clearance required (or the ability to obtain a secret clearance within six months of start date on contract) On Site Requirement: Per the PM FPS customer, all IBD-SS personnel are expected to be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during core business hours deemed by your direct IBD-SS supervisor with the ability to work remote on Monday and Fridays, however this is always subject to change based on the requirements of the mission.
