This position is located in Huntsville, AL. Work you'll do The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the current state and configuration of our network, designing an operational technology-focused network monitoring solution, and installing and deploying the solution on a Department of Defense (DoD) network. This role requires a deep understanding of network principles, extensive experience with Linux, hypervisors, containerization technologies, and deploying server infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Network Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of the current state and configuration of the network.
Identify potential areas for improvement and optimization.
Document existing network architecture and configurations.
Solution Design: Design a robust and scalable network monitoring solution focused on operational technology.
Ensure the solution meets DoD standards and security requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Installation and Deployment: Install and deploy the designed network monitoring solution on the DoD network.
Configure and integrate the solution with existing network infrastructure.
Deploy and configure server infrastructure to support the network monitoring solution.
Conduct testing and validation to ensure the solution operates as intended.
Technical Expertise: Technical expertise in Cisco, Juniper, and/or Aruba network equipment, specifically within Department of Defense (DoD) network environments.
Utilize deep understanding of network principles to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Extensive experience with Linux operating systems, including system administration and scripting.
Proficiency with hypervisors (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network assessments, solution designs, and deployment processes.
Prepare and present reports on project progress, findings, and outcomes to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of professional experience
Active DoD Secret Security clearance required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Experience in network engineering, with a focus on network assessment and monitoring solutions.
Proven experience working with DoD networks and understanding of DoD standards and security requirements.
Extensive experience with Linux operating systems.
Proficiency with hypervisors (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Demonstrated experience in deploying and configuring server infrastructure.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong documentation and reporting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, AL 3-4 days per week; travel to various DoD sites up to 25%
Preferred: Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
DoD 8570 IAT Level +, such as CompTIA Security+ (CE) compliant certification
