R- Description Leidos Dynetics is seeking a talented Continuous Improvement Technologist to join a diverse team to create unique solutions to complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields. DTS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. Primary Responsibilities The Continuous Improvement Technologist will work in a collaborative environment with teammates, to include the Government customer to ensure quality and a focus on continuous improvement across the program. The successful candidate will support the Quality Manager in the coordination/execution of all activities related to the task scope. The successful candidate will provide quality assurance to focus on the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools to be utilized throughout the program/service life cycle and institutionalize a common process methodology for project, product, and service delivery and operations. Primary Responsibilities Serve as a Lead for program Continuous Process Improvement activities. Collaborate across program teams to facilitate structured process improvement activities. Assist program staff in the preparation and presentation of business cases for improvement to senior leadership. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on improvement methodologies. Participate in quality reviews and audits in compliance with Leidos policies and direction. Enter and maintain audit findings in the Common Audit Database (CAD) with timely updates/closures of audit findings. Participate in Peer Reviews of documentation. Capture and analyze Lessons Learned. Provide quality inputs in projects as a member of cross-functional teams. Basic Qualifications Candidate must have a High School diploma/GED with 5 or more years of relevant experience. Candidate must have quality experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control. Candidate must have experience working with non-conforming material, performing failure analysis, identifying root cause and implementing corrective action. Excellent problem solving and communication skills. Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal staff members representing different functions. Able to develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas. Able to work independently with minimal guidance and oversight. Able to employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems in order to achieve program objectives. Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Significant Experience in the Lean Manufacturing businesses and appropriate tools. Expert level Microsoft Visio current state / future state process mapping skills and waste analysis, especially understanding Non-value-Added time versus Value added time analysis. Significant experience in Kaizen team facilitation and project management. Experience preparing Excel, Word, and PPT documents for presentation to senior leadership. Familiarity with operations and planning processes. Familiarity with Six Sigma and other improvement methodologies. Background in cross-functional team collaboration and briefing different audiences.
