Location: Hybrid (One in-office day and four remote days per week) Clearance Required: Secret Clearance AltView Analytics is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a background in financial analysis within military systems, and preferably experience with other key government financial systems like GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System). This role will focus on supporting Department of Defense (DoD) clients by providing advanced data analytics, business intelligence, and financial reporting solutions. You will leverage your expertise in those systems to deliver actionable insights and comprehensive reports that support effective decision-making for financial and budgetary operations. This position requires at least one (1) flexible in-office day at the customer site on Redstone Arsenal, and four (4) remote/work-from-home days. Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Data Analysis: Perform detailed financial data extraction and analysis from GFEBS using our custom toolset.
• Reporting & Business Intelligence: Design, develop, and maintain customized Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to military financial systems (GFEBS) and client needs.
• Compliance Oversight: Review lines of accounting for multiple units to ensure compliance with payment and purchasing procedures, making recommendations as necessary.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide insights, and translate business needs into effective BI solutions and reports.
• Data Management: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across reporting platforms.
• Support & Training: Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on Power BI, GFEBS, and data interpretation, ensuring clarity in complex financial processes.
• Process Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of business processes, workflows, and best practices to ensure seamless project execution. Must-Have Qualifications:
• A strong desire and passion for learning new systems and using those skills to support and assist your team
• Experience in Financial Systems: At least 5 years of financial analysis experience within military systems.
• Technical Skills: Strong command of analytics tools for extracting and manipulating data.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• Secret Clearance: Verified Active Secret Clearance • Analytical Expertise: Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Communication Skills: Ability to present findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with GFEBS and familiarity with its data structures and reporting functionalities.
• Prior experience as a Budget Analyst in a DoD or federal government setting.
• Knowledge of other Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Power BI: Proven experience in designing, developing, and managing Power BI dashboards and financial reports. What We Offer:
