Job description

CHA Fire Protection Services offers highly specialized fire protection engineering services and cutting-edge solutions to the most challenging fire protection projects. Our knowledgeable staff manages complex industrial, commercial and design/build fire protection projects, including sprinkler systems, fire pumps, ground storage tanks, underground piping, and special hazards. At CHA, the Fire Protection Project Manager aids in the development of change orders including development of scope, schedule, and budget by coordinating with CHA technical groups and market staffing development of scope, schedule and budget by coordinating with CHA technical groups and market staff. This key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial, or logistical issues that may arise. Our Fire Protection Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure. The professional in this role sells and develops work with specific clients, ultimately leading to a "seller/doer" dual role, by understanding our client's challenges, building partnerships with them, and providing creative solutions to those challenges. The Fire Protection Project Manager coordinates contracts with the client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents. This role is responsible for all project financials, manages subcontractor payments, and communicates updates to the client, management, and project team during monthly project review meetings with operations. Additionally, the Fire Protection Project Manager develops a specific health and safety plan in coordination with health and safety manager and is responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan. Associate's degree or equivalent field experience is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
PMP certification preferred
NICET certification preferred
A minimum of 5 years of fire sprinkler experience required; a minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience required
Proven ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of technical tasks on $20 million projects
Ability to track and oversee multiple projects at once
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
A self-starter who excels in a high-paced work environment and work well independently
