Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced In-Shop Yellow Iron Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing, diagnosing, and repairing construction equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, compact equipment, off-road trucks, and various aggregate machinery. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of modern electrical systems and diagnostic tools. ASE certifications are a plus, and candidates should be highly skilled in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on yellow iron construction equipment including but not limited to: excavators, wheel loaders, compact equipment, off-road trucks, and aggregate machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to modern electrical components, hydraulic systems, and powertrain.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to efficiently diagnose problems and implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate service records, ensuring proper documentation of all repairs and parts used.
  • Collaborate with the service team to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Continuously update knowledge on new machinery and emerging technologies in the industry.

Qualifications:


  • 3 years of experience working with construction equipment in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostics, and modern technology used in construction machinery.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • ASE certifications (Automotive Service Excellence) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulics and powertrain systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and electrical schematics.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
